blogruary day 7 - random pictures

Hello everyone. I had a crazy busy day today. Although today was one of my days off from school, I spent 6 hours there today. Why? Because I had a group project to work on that was pushed back multiple times because of another group member. Word of wisdom: pick your group members VERY carefully!!




Anyways.... since my day was so hectic, I didn't really have time to think about what I would post today. I decided on something cute and simple -- some cute and random pictures I found on pinterest. ENJOY.

blogruary day 6 - beauty wishlist

After reading a blog post by allison (or amarixe), I decided that the next post will be my beauty wishlist of this month!! I may continue to do posts like this each month.




Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette ($50) - After using and loving the original palette, I always hoped that they would come out with a second one. However, $50 is a high price tag for me right now. The colors are gorgeous though. Nude eye shadows are my favorite.

Revlon Color Burst Lip Butter ($7.49) - I already own the shade lollipop, however I have my eye on the shades peach parfait and strawberry shortcake.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush ($25) - I have heard such good things about these blushes. I would love to try them out myself.

Too Faced Romantic Eye Palette ($36) - I originally wanted the naked palette, however these shades are more unique to me. These look like the perfect texture for everyday or night looks. I don't have that many non-sparkly shades.

Nars Sea of Love Set ($49) - I think this is a great set to get for people that are new to the brand.

Benefit Project Flawless ($32) - I think that this is another great set for people that have never tried anything from benefit.

MAC Cream Colour Base ($17.50) - I have been loving the look of highlighting cheekbones and this looks like a very multi-purpose product.

MAC 239 Eye Shader Brush ($24.50) - I've had my eye on this brush for a while now.

MAC 224 Tapered Blending Brush ($30) - This is a brush that I have been researching lately. It seems like a perfect brush to blend out your eye shadow.

MAC Mineralized Blush in Early Morning ($23.50) - I have never owned anything mineralized from mac. This seems like such a pretty color and I've heard that the finish is not super sparkly!

The story behind it:

Almost every friday afternoon, my parents and I go out to lunch with my aunt, cousin, and her baby. They have a tradition of going shopping after lunch. Sometimes we join them, sometimes we don't. My parents had some errands to run so I decided to join them at the mall. My parents met us a few hours later and we stopped at Macys. Earlier that day, I realized that my coach wristlet was missing a piece. We stopped at Coach to get it fixed, however the SA said that only free standing stores can fix merchandise. We noticed a table of discounted designer bags and wallets. This is were I found my new purse. My mom bought it for me as a birthday gift. :)

Front pocket: sandisk flash drive and library card

Inside pocket: feminine products, orbit gum, and eucerin original moisturizing lotion (mini)

Main compartment: eos lipbalm in sweet mint, coach wristlet (w/ id, cards, and cash), eye glasses, comb, pens, pencils, and a highlighter

Morning

Face wash: noxzema clean moisture deep cleansing cream

Moisterizer: l'oreal active daily moisture lotion

Night

Makeup remover: cold cream and tissues

Face wash: clean and clear foaming facial cleanser

Face mask: clean & clear blackhead eraser cleansing mask

Spot treatment: tretinoin cream 0.025%

Moisterizer: l'oreal active daily moisture lotion

The products in italics are things that I don't use everyday.

blogruary day 3 - january 2012 favorites

Today I thought that I would share my favorite things of the month of January. These items include makeup, skin care, and random items.

Mac Oil Control Lotion - I have rediscovered this item. I used this everyday of January and it works as a nice primer.


Cold Cream - This is another rediscovered item that I started using again after adding it to my Project X Pan. This is great to remove both eye makeup and face makeup. This is one of the only products that I have found that doesn't irritate my eyes.

Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss in Sunset Peach and Peony - I absolutely love these lipglosses. These two colors remind me of spring.


Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Soft Nude - This is such a nice nude color. Not drying at all.


Revlon Eyelash Curler - This was a rediscovered item. I haven't used an lash curler in awhile, mainly because I always forget. This makes your lashes look really nice.

Hummus - This was my only new favorite. I have discovered the joy of hummus. I love the roasted red pepper flavor with pita chips.

Lipton Diet Green Tea w/ Citrus - Since I stopped drinking pop, I have replaced it with green tea and water. Love this flavor.

TV Shows - Pretty Little Liars, The Lying Game, Gossip Girl, House of Anubis, Vampire Diaries, and The Secret Circle (all shows that came back in January).

blogruary day 2 - groundhogs day

Happy Groundhogs Day. Phil saw his shadow this morning. According to folklore, Phil's sighting of his own shadow means there will be 6 more weeks of winter. If Phil had not seen his shadow, it would have meant there will be an early spring.


Personally, I do not believe in this folklore. How can a groundhog determine whether spring will come early or winter will continue for 6 more weeks? What's your opinion on this?

blogruary day 1 - birthday gifts

Blogruary: blogging everyday in February!

I have decided since this is my birthday month, I will be (attempting) blogging everyday of this month!! I thought that for my first blog post, I would inform everyone of the items that I hope to receive this year. I try not to ask for anything unnecessary or crazy expensive. I try to ask for things that I would like to own but wouldn't really buy for myself.


Under $10: softlips lipbalm, blotting paper, mattifying nail polish, cell phone case, black socks, travel sized hairbrush

$10 - $15: pretty scarf, tank tops, cute headbands

Over $15: Mac 239 brush


If I were to get one expensive gift only, I would ask for the Tiffanys' Fleur de Lis Key Pendent ($300).
