 This collection washed ashore online on May 15, 2014 and instores on May 22, 2014. MAC freestanding stores and Nordstroms released this collection early on May 21, 2014.

 

 

This collection is split into to sections on the MAC website - Colour and Face.

MAC Maleficent Collection Haul + Swatches

MAC has recently released a collection that is based off the Disney villain - Maleficent.

 

This collection features fifteen products that were hand-picked by Angelina Jolie and worn by her in the movie that is coming to theaters on May 30.

 

 

This collection came out online on May 8 and came out in stores on May 15.

I decided to pick up the Beauty Powder in Natural ($30) and the Sculpting Powder in Sculpt ($23) as well as the 109 Small Contour Brush ($35).

 

 

Beauty Powder ($30)

This is my very first beauty powder. Beauty powder can be used for many things, however I plan to use this as an allover finish (similar to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders) or as a shaping powder (to set under eye concealer and brighten up that area).

 

 

Sculpting Powder ($23)

Features: Sculpt**

Sculpting Powder in matte taupe contours with commanding precision. Enhances natural bone structure. Immaculately shaded to create natural-looking shadow effects, the finish is sheer and matte. Specially designed M∙A∙C Maleficent packaging. Pro discount is not applicable.

 

This product is permanent at pro locations, online, or by phone in a pro pan form. The color Sculpt seems like a great color for someone that has fair to medium skintone. Sculpting powders are used to sculpt or contour the face.

 

 

109 Small Contour Brush ($35)

Use on the face to apply, blend or contour powder products. Softly rounded dome tip delivers just enough colour; smoothly blends colour into the face. Of natural fibres.

 

I plan to use this brush with the Sculpting Powder in Sculpt to contour my face. I have had my eye on this brush for awhile and I am thrilled to give it a try!

Cosmetics Company Outlet: MAC Haul + Swatches

 

I decided to pick up a couple of MAC lipglosses (1 lipglass and 3 cremesheen glasses) when I visited a CCO (Cosmetics Company Outlet).

 

Three out of four lipglosses are permanent and available for purchase anywhere MAC is sold. Flair for Finery is the only limited edition product that I purchased.

 

I've never tried one of MAC's cremesheen glasses so I'm excited to give those a try!

 

I picked up some nice everyday shades - nude, pinky nude, peachy nude, and pink.

MACs newly released collection is full of fun colors perfect for spring and summer.

Sephora Haul + My Thoughts

Sephora is full of pretty makeup, skincare, and perfume items that make me go weak in the knees!

 

Some people deem Sephora as the Home Depot for women.

 

 

I received a gift card to Sephora for Christmas that I have been saving for something extra special.

 

I decided to get the luxurious Christian Dior Crème de Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm.

 

I had high hopes for this product because its been raved about on YouTube by a lot of people. Unfortunately, this did not help keep my lips smooth or moisturized.

 

This product has been returned. I would not recommend this product if you have dry lips. Considering the price tag, I expected this to be holy grail status.

Ulta Haul - Revlon & Real Techniques

 

Today's post is a collective haul from Ulta! This an accumulation of products purchased from two separate trips. Most of these products were on sale (yay me!). Ulta had a grand opening near me and were offering $5 off $15 purchase. I also had retailer coupons for Real Techniques and Revlon. Ulta will accept both Ulta coupons and retailer coupons! Double savings!! Revlon was additionally 40%. Triple savings!!

 

This brand is definitely one of my favorites, particularly for lip products. I've tried Color Burst Lip Butters in the past and couldn't resist taking another one home. Sugar Plum is a perfect lip color for fall/winter! I accidently included Peach Parfait in this posting. It was originally mentioned here. It is still a beautiful shade and I would recommend it. During the same trip, I also picked up one of their Super Lustrous Lipglosses in Snow Pink (the perfect baby pink color!). This lipgloss is gorgeous and I plan to repurchase it when it has run out. I also picked up two of the ColorStay Eyeliners - Blackberry and Cocoa. These babies are amazing! Perfect colors for fall!

After taking pictures of the swatches, I noticed that the Revlon Colorstay Eyeliners would not be removed by simple soap and water. These babies did not want to be removed! I was finally able to remove the swatches with cold cream (used twice!). I wanted to show you the proof of their amazing staying power!

 

I've wanted to purchase some Real Techniques brushes for ages. When I had the opportunity to pick up these babies for a discount, I jumped at the chance!! I've been able to try out these brushes since purchasing them and have mentioned how I use them below. You can also find YouTube videos about these brushes if you want to do more research. These brushes are amazing!! I definitely recommend them. Even without coupons, these brushes are wonderful.
