September 2012 Empties

Hi everyone. This is kinda late (along with my Haul post). I've been super busy lately with school and work. These are the items that I've used up in the month of September.

MAC False Lash Mascara

This was my first MAC mascara. Although mascara should only be used for 3-4 months, I've had this tube since February. I usually use my own judgment on whether or not I should throw a product out or not. This created nice dark and full lashes, which I love. I would recommend this mascara.

L'oreal Hydra-Renewal Moisturizer

This was a nice moisturizer. Usually I will switch between L'oreal and Olay moisturizers. I enjoyed this moisturizer. This is the second tub of this that I've bought lately. I would recommend this for anyone who doesn't mind using moisturizer out of a tub.

MAC Oil Control Lotion

This product lasted me over a year. This was one of my very first MAC purchases. I think that this is a great item for people that have a tendency to get oily skin. I used this all year round and I feel like this helped keep my t-zone less oily (not completely matte however). I think this works as a good base for your foundtion. My foundation went on perfectly over this. For $30 this is worth it since I used it almost everyday for over a year. I would recommend this for anyone that has oily or oily-combination skin.

Yes to Cucumbers Facial Towelettes

I've boughten this twice now, so I must love it! I think that this is a great product for people that have sensitive skin. I wasn't able to use other products like this because they irritated my skin. This smells good too. It's not overly "cucumber" so it won't bother anyone with a sensitive nose. I would recommend this for anyone looking for makeup remover wipes. Love them.

June 2012 Haul

Hi everyone! Here is a blog post about this months purchases. Many of the items were on my June Shopping List blog post, while others were not. I apologize for the crappy quality pictures. I may need to start using my camera rather than my phone's camera.

MAC blush in Peony Petal - this blush is beautiful! I originally wanted it when it came out with the Tres Cheek collection, however I couldn't justify buying 3 blushes from that collection at one time. I normally buy makeup in store, however this product wasn't available at any of the locations near me. This was my first purchase that I bought on their website.

Planner - I love shopping for new planners every year. I usually buy this brand of planners at Office Max for $20. However, I found this one for $10 at Target! I buy the ones that are July to June rather than January to December. Planners keep me really organized while I'm in school.

Headbands - I've been wanting a pearl headband for a while now and I finally found one at my local Charming Charlies. These two headbands came in a pack for $8. They look so preppy and summery!

Scarf - I fell in love with this scarf when I saw it at Charming Charlies. It's very cute and lightweight. This is perfect for all year round, especially in the spring and summer.

Tumbler - I am in love with this tumbler. I found it at a local store for only $3. I saw a few online that I loved however they were pretty expensive. This is great for this time of year to drink lemonade or water.

Clarisonic Mia - This was a spur of the moment kind of purchase. I've wanted this for months and months, however I thought I would wait to buy this until Christmas since the price tag is so high! However, I received a 20% of coupon from Ulta in the mail and I finally decided to buy it. I knew I wanted to buy it either with an Ulta coupon like that or during Sephora's Friends & Family sale. I cannot wait to use this!

L'oreal True Match Natural Mineral Foundation and Finishing Powder - I have repurchased these products multiple times. I have lost count how many bottles I have went through. I bought the foundation shade 456 (soft ivory).

What have you bought this month?

June 2012 Empties

Hi everyone! Here is a list of my June empties. I've used up a lot more items than I used up last month. This time I just used pictures from the internet because I through out a few of these.

Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm - This is a product that I can finally cross off my Project Pan list! Although this lip balm smells good and everyond raves about it, I don't like it! It actually makes my lips more chapped than they were before putting it on my lips.

Lip Smacker's in Strawberry - This is a product that I got from my grandma when I losted my Blister's chapstick. This smells really good, however it wasn't my favorite chapstick.

L'oreal Eye Makeup Remover - I've been through multiple bottles of this. I like it, however I don't love it. If I use too much it will iritate my eyes. I also go through a bottle of this really fast. This will last me about 2.5 weeks. If I wear a natural eye makeup look, I use about 3 cotton balls worth. If I wear a dramatic, night-time eye makeup look, I use about 6 cotton balls worth.

Noxzema Clean Moisture Deep Cleansing Cream - I've also been through multiple bottles of this. This is a product that I would recommend. It lathers really nicely and I think it cleans my face of all dirt and makeup residue. I also love that this has a pump.

Olay Total Effects Daily Cleansing Treatments - I got these wipes for free with my Ulta level 2 reward. There are 30 towelettes in a package and this lasted me a little over a month. I didn't use these every night because I don't wear makeup everyday. I used these like a makeup wipe, however I ran it under warm water first. I thought these were nice, however I didn't notice any of the special effects that it claims. I would rather try something else than repurchase.

Covergirl Eye Enhancers Trio in Cafe Au Lait - I've owned this eye shadow trio for many years and I'm glad to see it finished. This was always an ok eye shadow trio. I didn't think it was very pigmented and the lasting power wasn't the best. It was also very shimmery, which I don't really like. I think that there are other trio's out there, however the color combination was nice.

Covergirl Invisible Concealer in Fair - I did not like this concealer. I think it was the wrong shade and it caked on me. I would not recommend this or repurchase this.

blogruary day 24 - ulta haul

I haven't blogged in a few days, sorry! I've had a few exams and assignments for school recently which has kept me busy. Although, I haven't been able to blog everyday of February, I plan to blog more often after this month.

Today I went to Ulta with my mom and she bought me a few things. I wasn't expecting her to buy me anything, I planned to pay for it myself.

L'oreal was buy 2 get 1 free so we bought some more of our foundation which is the mineral foundation. We each bought a foundation and she bought a finishing powder. I also had a $1 off manufacturer coupon and a $3.50 off ulta coupon.

I finally got the Urban Decay Naked2 palette. I have been looking at it on blogs and on YouTube videos, however I hadn't seen it in person. It is so pretty! I can't wait to use it. I definitely kind of cheated on my project x pan and eye shadow out 2012. I'm going to try to make only this one exception!

I think that I will also be including limited edition products to my exceptions. I have been eyeing some products in the MAC Chen Man Love & Water Collection and the MAC Too Supreme Collection coming out March 1st. I really like the force of love lipstick and lipglass and the zen rose sheen supreme lipstick.

Daily Routine as of 06/28/2011 by MissEndlessDreamer on Polyvore.com

Hello again!! As promised, I have another polyvore collage. I want to keep up with this idea as well -- daily routine! This will be my makeup & hair routine that I have been currently following for a few weeks.

  1. Olay active hydrating original beauty fluid ($6.99)
  2. MAC Oil Control Lotion ($29.50)
  3. Loreal Paris True Match Naturale Gentle Mineral Makeup with an SPF 19 in #458 light ivory ($12.99) and Loreal Paris True Match Naturale Soft-Focus Mineral Finish in #401 translucent (not shown -- $12.99)
  4. MAC Sheertone Shimmer Blush in plum foolery ($19.50) with MAC 129 powder/blush brush ($34.00).
  5. Too Faced Shadow Insurance ($18.00)
  6. Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner in bunny hop (color discontinued -- $19.00)
  7. NYX single eyes shadow in taupe ($5.50)
  8. Urban Decay eyeshadow in sell out ($17.00)
  9. Revlon Eyelash Curler ($5.99)
  10. Maybelline mascara (left to right)
    1. The Colossal Volum' Express in glam black ($6.99)
    2. The Classic Volum' Express in very black ($6.99)
    3. The Falsies Volum' Express in blackest black ($6.99)
    4. One By One Volum' Express in blackest black ($7.99)
  11. Neutrogena naturals lip balm ($2.99)
  12. Tube lip gloss
    1. Victoria Secret Beauty Rush (color tags worn off -- $7.00)
    2. Max Factor in first kiss (discontinued? -- $2.95)
    3. Bath and Body Works Tutti Dolci in creme brulee (not shown -- discontinued)
  13. Lauren Conrad inspired front braid

Please note
The shadow brush shown in the image above is not the brush that I use. I could not find the actual brush that I use because it is from a cheap makeup kit that was given as a gift many many years ago. The brush that I chose for the image looks very similar to the one I use for both the main color and the highlight. I may actually go get that Sephora brush to replace mine since the ferrule is coming loose.

How in the world can you afford $223.36 worth of makeup?

I were to go out to the mall right now and by everything in that list, no I would not be able to afford that. Of course, this is stuff that I have bought over time. And on sale!! Four mascaras??? I bought them all two at a time (weeks/months apart) at a BOGO 50% sale which ULTA has all the time. $26 too much for a foundation and finishing powder? Same thing -- BOGO 50% sales. Some of the above items listed were also bought from whole sale websites and eBay. If you do decide to go that route, BE CAREFUL! Make sure that you research before buying anything just in case it is not authentic.

Recommendations (love it)
Foundation
NYX eye shadow
Maybelline mascaras (any of them)
VS Beauty Rush glosses

Skips (don't hate, but only ok)
MAC Oil Control Lotion (even for oily-skin girls)
Lip balm (try Blistex --- favorite)

Goodbye for now lovelies!!
Miss Heather :)
